The traditional LDSF rating competition for the Cup.

On the last weekend of spring, the 26th of May, that delighted us with a summer feeling, Elektrėnai was feeling like dancing.

The traditional LDSF rating competition for the Cup in the Memory of Virginija Grigaliūnienė ‘Children World 2018’ took place. 368 pairs from all over Lithuania participated in the competition. Same as each year, the prizes were the Mayor Cup and the Cup in the Memory of Virginija Grigaliūnienė. This year was special for the youngest participants of the competition. The students of the Dance Sport Club ‘Žiburėliai’ – Gabrielius Panukevičius and his partner Elija Kisieliauskaitė – won the Mayor Cup.

This year, it was decided to award the Cup in the Memory of Virginija Grigaliūnienė to the pair from the group of youngest participants with a strong believe that the competition would continue to be organised and a beautiful tradition would be preserved – that was a decision of Vytautas Grigaliūnas, the husband of the late Virginija Grigaliūnienė, who awarded the Cup together with his daughter, the organiser of competition, Marija Prūsaitis to the granddaughter Patricija Prūsaitė and her partner Ugnius Šomka. The competition attracted a considerable number of local dancers of Elektrėnai. A large crowd of dancers from Club ‘Žiburėliai’ participated – 31 in total. There were also 20 dancers of the Dance Sport Club ‘Reveransas’. In the group of Young Dancers II E6, a pair of dancers from Club ‘Reveransas’ – Gabija Severinaitė with Ernestas Vaitkevičius – took the 2nd place. Another pair from Club ‘Reveransas’ – Greta Suslavičiūtė and Tauras Žemaitis – took a 3rd step on the winners’ podium. We would really like to thank the main sponsor of competition – UAB Gudobelė for the prizes that delighted all the participants of children groups.
